From the beginning of brainstorming our idea for a short film, we knew it had to stand out somehow. We knew if we wanted to take the risk, we weren’t going to make any short film with a generic story. We wanted to make people think about life, see life through different eyes, open up to possibilities, and open up to something beautiful. The story of Wind Song was born out of personal experiences. Experiences of both myself and my co-writer. We knew that everyone experiences the struggle of grief in one way or another. It is the journey of a million miles, a journey different for every person. Sometimes grief never ends. It flows like a river, until the river is met with something bigger.
The uniqueness of Wind Song is that it not only touches on the experience of grief, but the magic and love one can find if they listen to the world around them. Often times our loved ones try to reach us, but we have to have an open heart and an open mind to accept it.

We shot most of the film in northern Wisconsin, and we have one scene left to shoot in LA. Our amazing cinematographer Chris Brown is working on editing. We have a great composer, Ryan Rapsys, and a sound designer, Zach Venne. We hope to have post-production wrapped by the end of August, then we are going to submit to every festival we can! May we be guided continuously on this journey. I will not lose faith that this film is going to touch peoples lives. That means the most to me…
