Meditation is fundamental to easing the stress, anxiety, and depression that comes along with living our complex, human lives. Beginning a daily meditation practice combined with prayer can open up space for more relaxation, understanding, and feelings of love and contentment during the many storms of life. A meditation practice gives us the power to heal and live in the present moment.

The ability to develop a meditation practice is within us all. All we have to do is be willing to work through the challenges. Think about exercising your muscles, it takes practice to build strength, right? It’s not easy, right? But it’s worth it. Now, think of your mind as a muscle. It, too, takes practice to become stronger. When we build strength through mindfulness, we re-wire our brain and our attitude about life changes for the better.

Change your brain, change your life. When we are aware of our thoughts, we are on the path to changing how we think and behave. This is part one of finding our path to freedom from our suffering. We must accept that the past is gone and the future has not yet come. Living in either place takes away our life right here, right now.

All we have is the present moment. And the time is now to reconnect your mind, body and soul to become the person you were meant to be. This life is a gift and it’s up to us to find peace while living it. Join me on this journey. Let’s get in touch with our true nature and live a life of gratitude and happiness.
